Birla Academy of Art and Culture is pleased to announce the first of the Arts Appreciation Courses for the year 2026 - 2027.

We begin our AAC - Course I with music studies this year, titled "Sakriya Shravan Shrinkhala". The course is aimed to explore and expand on the nuances of three distinct genres of Hindustani classical music traditions of Dhrupad, Khayal and Thumri.

The lecture series aims to equip the participants with preliminary knowledge and understanding of these different genres, with a focus on their origin, rhythmic patterns, gharanas and the stylistic approaches.

The certified course is designed as a lec-dem module spread across 3 days and is open to all above 16 years of age.

Dates:

16th April - 18th April

Duration: 3 days, Thurs - Sat

Timings: 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
